Privacy policy
Woi is a digital namecard service run by OnSmartLiving Pte. Ltd. (UEN 202419752R), Singapore (“Woi”, “we”). This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your choices under Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). By using Woi, you agree to it.
What we collect
- Account: your email, and a password we never see (handled by our login provider).
- Your card: name, title, organisation, contact details, links, photo. This is shown on your public card on purpose.
- Contacts you save or scan (if your org has the add-on): the details you enter, or that we read from a scanned card. Scanned card images are kept private.
- Voice notes: the audio is sent to be turned into text, then discarded — we keep only the text note.
- Usage: when someone views a public card we log how it was reached, device type, and rough country. We don’t store viewers’ IP addresses or use tracking cookies.
Why we use it
To run your card and the features you use, show your public card to people you share it with, give you analytics, send service messages (sign-in, invites, security), keep Woi secure, and meet legal duties.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your data. We share it only with trusted service providers who run Woi for us — for hosting and database, file storage, reading scanned cards and voice notes (an AI provider), error monitoring, and push notifications. Each is bound to use your data only to provide these functions and only on our instructions. We may also disclose data if the law requires it or to protect Woi and its users.
Where it’s stored
Mainly in Singapore. Some providers process data overseas; where they do, we use contracts so your data gets protection comparable to the PDPA.
How long we keep it
While your account is active (analytics per your org’s plan). If your subscription lapses, your data goes read-only — not deleted. Ask us to delete your account and we remove or anonymise your data, unless the law makes us keep some.
Your rights (PDPA)
You can ask to access, correct, or delete your data, get a copy to take elsewhere (cards export as vCard), or withdraw consent. Edit most of your data yourself in the app. To make a request, use the contact below — we may verify your identity first.
